Chelsea midfielder Eden Hazard will reportedly sign a new lucrative deal with the club ‘in the coming weeks’.

A reputable news outlet has claimed that the Belgian is set to pen a new contract, which will see the 26-year-old extend his stay at the Stamford Bridge until 2021 and earn up to £300,000-a-week, effectively becoming the club’s highest paid player.

Hazard has been key to Chelsea’s success ever since moving to the English side from Ligue 1 up-and-comers Lille in 2012, and has since helped the Blues win two Premier League titles, a Europa League trophy and a League Cup.

Spanish giants Real Madrid and Barcelona have recently been linked with the playmaker, prompting Chelsea to do all that is in their power to retain arguably the most integral piece of their current squad.
