Ayub Masika's spell on the sidelines started on a losing note as Beijing Renhe suffered a setback on their promotion chase with a 3-0 defeat to Shijiazhuang Ever Bright on Sunday 17 September

First goals from Jacob Mulenga and Li Chunyu saw the host assume a comfortable lead in the opening 20 minutes before a late strike from Adriano sealed the win for the side.

Injured

Kenyan winger Ayub Masika sat out with an ankle injury for the very first time as the team's cherished record of six games without defeat came crashing.

Luis Garcia's Renhe remain second on the log with 53 points four behind their matchday rivals and two off leaders Dalian Yifang.
