Jesse Were in foreign stars chase for Zambian Golden Boot

 Jesse Were will be out to continue his chase for the league golden boot as  Zesco shift focus from the continental games with Tuesday 19 September  league tie against Lumwana Radiants.

the Kenyan attacker is for the second season running involved in the race for the Zambian Super league Golden boot with eleven games to go.

 The EX Tusker man is the current second best scorer with 11 goals, four shy of top scorer  Chrispine Mugalu of Lusaka Dynamo who lead the charts with 15 goals.

Four of the Kenyan goals have come from the spot while Mugalu only has two scored in similar fashion.

Four foreign players occupy the top four positions on the chart with Fwayo Tembo as the only Zambian player in the top five bracket.

Were lost out to Walter Bwalya of Nkana last season.

Were's Kenyan compatriot John Mark Makwata  has so far scored four goals for Buildcin FC
