CAF CC: Calabar's continental goal not enough as Zesco crash out

A David Owino's well struck goal proved not enough for Zesco United  who suffered  exit from the CAF Confederations Cup despite a 2-2 draw against SuperSport United in Ndola on Saturday 23 September

Having struggled to impose themselves in first leg stalemate in SA, the host got off a flying start four minutes in after John Ching'adu volleyed home the opener.

Phala  on the Double

Thula Phala's 34 minute goal saw the visitors back in the clash and it took Owino's strike at the 50th minute mark to restore the hosts advantage. It's Phala who popped up again to score with virtually last kick of the game to see  Matsatsanta through to the semis on away goal rule.

Jesse Were was a starter in the tie with Anthony Akumu being introduced as a second half substitute.
