Wenger: We've bounced back

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has admitted that he is pleased with the way his side has responded from their early season setbacks to go into the second international break on the up.

The Gunners were responding to a poor start of the current campaign, losing 1-0 to Stoke City and a 4-0 thrashing in the hands of Liverpool but their comfortable 2-0 victory over Brighton on Sunday made it six wins from seven games in all competitions, plus a battling draw away to Chelsea, since the players returned from international duty.

- We got what we wanted and just before the break. Our last international break was a nightmare but this is one is a bit better, said Wenger. Goals from Alex Iwobi and Nacho Monreal ensured that Wenger's men climb to fifth in the Premier League standing with 13 points, six points behind joint leaders Manchester clubs.

The north London side are in a far better place a month on and Wenger, celebrating 21 years at the club, said Arsenal are back on track.
