90, yellow for Cheche as Cosmos draw

Harambee Stars defender David Cheche Ochieng’ played for the entire 90 minutes as his side New York Cosmos was held to a 2-2 draw in their Sunday 8 October league match at the Michael A. Carroll Stadium (Indianapolis, Indiana).

The former Tusker FC defender who last featured for Harambee Stars against Mozambique in Maputo on Saturday 2 September was also booked in the additional minutes of the match as his side fought to rescue three points in vein.

The draw left NY Cosmos rooted in fourth on the standings but tied in points with fifth placed Jacksonville. Cheche is a regular to the side having made 14 appearances already this season from 12 matches played.

The club will have a one week break before facing Edmonton who are sixth next weekend at their MCU Park, New York.
