Tusker refute Mandela expulsion reports

Tusker FC CEO Charles Obiny has refuted claims that the club has terminated George Mandela's contract  for gross misconduct clarifying that the Ugandan midfielder is only serving a suspension

Reports indicated that the former Muhoroni Youth man has been shown the door by the club for skipping training severally. Obiny has however quashed these reports clarifying that the attacker is serving a two-month suspension and is set to return at the end of October.

-We have not terminated his contract, he's still our player but he is suspended. We had to take a disciplinary action against him for repeatedly skipping training. He has been on suspension for two months, we allowed him go and handle the private matters that made him fail to show up for training, he will return at the end of the month.

Obiny adds that the it will be upon his technical bench to decide when to field the winger once he resumes training with the team at their Ruaraka Training Ground.

-It's upon the coaches to decide when he will play once he returns. The club has laws guiding the conduct of players and coaches, they are applied without any favor, after suspension the technical bench will take over from there, he added.

Mandela joined Tusker from Muhoroni Youth in June 2016 after impressing for the side.
