Abud Omar side storms Bugarian Cup quarters

Abud Omar's Slavia Sofia has booked their slot in the last eight of the Bulgarian Cup after edging Botev Plovdiv 2-1 in a battling home win on Wednesday Cup tie clash.

Emmanuel Mba struck in the 35th minute but the tie was back on level after Vaselin Marchev equalised at the hour mark to an extra time showdown.

Slavia on the mend

Gervais Ivanov's goal in the 117th minute saw the tie back to hosts advantage which they hold on to to progress

The result added to a recent upturn of form where the White Avalanches have risen up the log to ninth and remain unbeaten in four games.

Omar clocked a full time shift in the tie.
