Injury update: Wanyama could be out for season

31 Oct 2017, 12:30

Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Victor Wanyama could be out for the rest of the season according to reports.

The Kenyan international was on the road to recovery and had started his rehabilitation as announced by Spurs but it would now appear the midfielder’s knee injury is not going to heal anytime soon.

The 26 year was a key member of Mauricio Pochettino's midfield and provided that protection in front of the back four which made them such a formidable defensive force with the best record of only conceding 26 goals in 38 Premier League games last season. Wanyama will now miss UEFA Champions League return leg tie against Real Madrid on  Wednesday.
