Olunga, Salah nominated for CAF Player of the Year Award

Kenya's striker Michael Olunga has been nominated for CAF African Player of the Year award in 2017 and the ceremony will be held in Acra, Ghana to pick the winner.

Olunga who plays for Spanish side Girona will battle with Liverpool's Egypt and Senegal forwards Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane. Christian Atsu of Newcastle, Victor Moses of Chelsea and Jesse Were's partner at Zesco Fackson Kapumbu have all been nominated.

Essam El Hadary who is Egypt's long-serving custodian is also in the list together with Manchester United Eric Bailly and Pierre Aubameyang of Borussia Dortmund.

The Accra affair will be held on  January 4, 2018.
