04 Nov 2017, 18:25

Promotion-chasing Ushuru FC and KCB have had their fine run halted after crashing to identical 2-1 defeats against City Stars and Isibania on Saturday 4 November.

The losses have seen Vihiga United who edged MOSCA 2-0 in Mumias edge closer to the leading pair who remain first and second respectively from 62 and 60 points.

Simon Abuko's penalty three minutes in saw KCB on a dream start in Awendo but it wasn't to end in the visitors defeat after Felix Okik's stoppage-time goal added to see Bankers vault breached.

Late goals

The script of late heartache was also the norm in Camp Toyoyo whereas Substitute Jumba steered home a cross to hand City Stars a 2-1 win over Ushuru.

Ezekiel Odera's first-half spot-kick levelled matters for John Amboko's side who had trailed from an opener from Andrew Murunga.

Elsewhere, Kibera Black Stars suffered a 3-0 loss at hands of St Joseph Youth in Afraha while an own goal from Bobby Odida proved the difference in Bidco's win over visiting Palos in Thika.
