Wellington Ochieng has attributed his fine start to life at Gor Mahia to preparations and a solid training regime.

Far from the slow adapting phase that has beset new players after switching sides in the top-tier teams, Wellington has been fast in settling with the Kenyan giants plying both the right back and left back position with ease.

Adaptating in

It was however not easy to come as he reckons the need of patience in breaking into the star-studded side.

Scoring goal

-The key has been working hard in training. I had to wait patiently for my chances and I've been keen to take it when the opportunity came, the defender told Futaa.

On his scoring streak, the Ex Muhoroni defender maintains that there has been more to it him in the way he s to get in offensive positions.

-I am that player who can score goals and it has happened when I got myself in the right places of scoring. There is more to it than luck. I've been practising that too in training and it's paying off, the four goals added.

The KPL triumph with Gor brought a maiden trophy for the defender who had dumped Muhoroni just before their KPL Top Eight success in 2016.
