Harry Winks' ankle injury is not considered serious despite the midfielder having to withdraw from the England squad.

The 21-year-old underwent scans on Monday and Sky Sports News understands they revealed no damage to ligaments.

Winks suffered a twisted right ankle against Crystal Palace on Sunday - not the same one he injured earlier this year.

Winks was out for several months over the summer after damaging ligaments in his left ankle against Burnley in April.

Harry Kane has also been forced out of England's friendlies against Germany and Brazil over the coming week after sustaining a knock to his ankle against Palace at Wembley.
