Alvaro Morata wants Madrid return

Chelsea striker Alvaro Morata has admitted he is open to returning to Real Madrid one day.

The 23-year-old - who has returned to the Spain's squad for friendlies against Costa Rica and Russia - joined the Blues in a £70m move from Real in the summer. Morata says he did not want to leave the Bernabeu but was desperate to play more regular football.

-I told the coach I wanted to play more. That I wanted to go is foolishness. I felt important for Madrid, but I wanted to play in the Champions League knockout stages, Morata said.

Morata was recently forced to explain comments about feeling unsettled in England especially due to the weather and busy nature of the capital, but he insists that things have improved.
