Gor Mahia coach applauds Homeboyz

Gor Mahia coach Dylan Kerr has admitted that Kakamega Homeboyz played well despite being a man down during his side's 1-0 over Mike Mururi's side in a Kenyan Premier League match staged at the Mumias Sports Complex on Saturday 11 November

Homeboyz had striker Wycliffe Ochomo sent off and just before the break Jacques Tuyisenge scored the all-important goal of the match. In his post-match interview, Kerr said the match was largely balanced even after Homeboyz were reduced to ten men.

Balanced game

-It was an even game, to be honest, Homeboyz played really well  even after the red card which I feel was a bit harsh because I think it was not an intentional elbow on Shakava inside the penalty area, we saw the incident but the referee didn't and Shakava being a young player needs to learn to control his temper.

-At halftime I told my players to play like they are up against 11 men, I asked them to pass the ball and move and I think we played better in the second half, he said.

The champions will play SoNy Sugar in their final match of the season on Saturday 18 November.
