Kenyan born pair of Thomas Deng and Bruce Kamau clocked full time as Melbourne Victory narrowly edged Melbourne City 1-0 in a hotly contested A-League Week 12 tie this Saturday 23 December.

The derby pitting the two Kenyan-born players was called late with substitute Mark Mulligan's stoppage-time penalty.

Kamau at thick of action

Kamau, who made his return to lead the host's attack line, had couple of chances to grab the lead City's but saw his efforts cleared as second half kicked off

A late penalty following a foul by keeper Dean Bouzanis, however, dealt the host to a sour ending.

The win saw Victory extend their overall dominance in the City's rivalry.
