Gor Mahia captain heads to Albania

Gor Mahia captain Musa Mohammed is set to quit the club and move to Albania with FK Tirana following the expiry of his contract with the Kenyan Premier League (KPL) champions on Sunday 31 December 2017

The central defender skippered Gor Mahia and Kenya national team, Harambee Stars to KPL and Cecafa Senior Challenge Cup respectively in 2017 and his rich cv has now earned him a move abroad where he will link up with former Gor Mahia boss Jose Ze Maria Fereira. 

Deal struck

According to Albanian online publication panorama.com, Musa has already reached an agreement with the Albanian second tier side and will complete the transfer this January. The club is also said to be in the final stages of sealing a deal with Gor Mahia midfielder Kenneth Muguna. 

-The Bardheblu club has secured Kenneth Muguna's services. They have also reached an agreement with Musa Muhammad, the Captain of the Kenyans, whose contract expires right now, read a post on the website in part.

Longest serving 

 Musa has been with Gor Mahia since 2009 and is the longest serving player at the club. He has won four Kenyan Premier League titles among other accolades with the now Dylan Kerr coached side.

An unnamed Turkish club is also said to be interested in signing the FISA academy prodigy.
