Mathare youngster picks ex Harambee Stars coach as mentor
Mathare United new striker Klinsman Omulanga has pointed out that he will have to work hard in order to break into the first team.
Omulanga joined from Liberty Academy that is under the stewardship of former Harambee Stars head coach Jacob Mulee. The striker feels it is Mulee who has nurtured him to be who he is today.
- This is a new experience for me and I am happy that I am playing at this level. It is tough to compete here and it requires a lot of determination and hard work, Omulanga said.
- I am grateful to coach Jacob Mulee for advising me to join this team because it gives young players an opportunity to learn. I want to work hard and gain experience by playing as many matches at this level. When my opportunity comes I will grab it. I am here to score goals, he added in his first statement after signing for the 2008 KPL champions.
His arrival comes after the Slum Boys parted ways with Derrick Nzosi and Harrisson Mwendwa. Clifford Alwanga joined from Tusker and will fight with the 21-year old for starting berth up front.
