Arsenal stars Sead Kolasinac and Shkodran Mustafi tried to lure Paris Saint Germain winger Julian Draxler to join the Gunners.

The duo tried to tempt Julian Draxler to join Arsenal during an NBA match in London on Thursday, but the Paris Saint-Germain player gave little away regarding his uncertain future. Draxler impressed upon joining PSG from Wolfsburg 12 months ago, but has found himself battling with new arrivals Kylian Mbappe and Neymar for a place in the starting XI this season. The former Schalke playmaker attended the Philadelphia 76ers' match against the Boston Celtics at the O2 Arena along with several Gunners players - including international colleague Mustafi and ex-Schalke team-mate Kolasinac.

The Gunners defender Mustafi was asked if he wanted the Germany international to link up with him at Emirates, he replied, - That's the reason why he came here. Kolasinac added, - Julian is a very good friend of mine and a good football player. Nevertheless, he has to decide on his own where his way will go to. Maybe he stays in Paris, maybe not. He has to decide that on his own. Then we'll see what's going to happen.

When asked whether he likes London, Draxler admitted, - Yes, but mostly because of my best friend Sead and of course because of my [Germany] team-mate Musti [Mustafi]. The main reason why I came here is NBA and not really much besides that.

The 24-year-old, who attended the NBA in London alongside Gunners stars Sead Kolasinac, Hector Bellerin and Nacho Monreal, has struggled to nail down a regular starting spot at PSG this season following the summer arrivals of Kylian Mbappe and Neymar, having only started 10 Ligue 1 games, scoring just twice.
