Debutants Coast Stima clash with Nairobi Stima in a crucial FKF  National Super League match dubbed ‘’The Stima Derby’’ at KPA Mbaraki this Saturday, February 24th 2018.

Coast Stima head coach Swaleh Kinero has assured that the team will stick to its own game plan in search of maximum points and subsequently maintain a top place in the league.

‘’We are going to approach the match like any other league match. We need to be positive, as well as concentrate and stick our own plan,’’ he stated.

The match promises a lot of fireworks as both teams are under the same sponsor. The other third team sponsored by the company is Western Stima that were relegated from the Kenya Premier League back to the FKF NSL.

Review

Cost Stima has a heavy investment in striker and free kick specialist Davis Shikala who scored a goal and assisted in another during last weekends 2-1 win over  Kisumu Allstars.

According to Kinero the match against AllStars wasn’t easy but the boys stood tall and played well, despite the leveller by opponents there was a spirited fight till the end which paid off and for sure the win was encouraging.

Both Coast Stima and Nairobi Stima have four points from two matches and are separated on goal difference. Each has won one match and drawn a single match. Before beating Kisumu AllStars Coast Stima started the FKF NSL campaign with mixed results after by sharing the spoils through a one all draw against  Green Commandos at Bukhungu stadium during their first away match.

Nairobi Stars kicked off the league on a sound note with a 2-0 win over City Stars before recording a goalless draw against Green Commandos. Coast Stima are placed sixth on the 20 team NSL log while their Nairobi counterparts are placed third.
