Rangers recover from Police shocker, shoot down Stars

01 Mar 2018, 18:17

Hosts Modern Coast Rangers bounced back from weekend loss to Police to beat visiting Nairobi City Stars 2-1 in their midweek action.

Modern Coast opened the scoring through Aex Yoroga in the 51st minute after a goalless first half.

The end to end match then proved a tough one for both teams as none was willing to let go till the  dying minutes.

Too close

City Stars however thought they had finally grabbed a point after a 91st minute equaliser through Sunday Katumba.

Samweli Karori however handed them a slap on the face after capitalising on the excitement to split defence and bury the winner for the hosts a minute.

The win pushed Rangers to eighth on the standings.
