Kapaito claims third KPL hat-trick as Sharks slay Wazito

A hat-trick from Eric Kapaito and  Duke Abuya's opening goal proved sufficient to see Kariobangi Sharks on a crucial 4-1 win over Wazito in a Camp Toyoyo this Sunday 4th February.

Duke Abuya and Kapaito claimed two quick fire goals in the first half before the latter restored their two-goal lead after Brian Odhiambo had halved the deficit for Frank Ouna's side.

Kapaito was far from done and completed his first hat trick and KPL's third overall to all but assure the huge win for Wiliam Muluya charges.

 The win takes Sharks up to fourth with eight points as Wazito drops to 14th

Quickfire goals

 Former GFE attacker, Abuya poked home the opener in the 21st minute after Eric Kapaito's effort had been cleared out by Eric Ogwade. 

 It proved a surreal four minutes for Wazito, who had until then been locked in a 50-50 battle after Eric Ogwade's awful clearance fell to Kapaito who obliged tasked with turning in to an unguarded net.

Wazito pulls one back

The host pulled one back from a corner after Brian Odhiambo nodded home from the corner just before the break.

 Wazito came all threatening in the final half but Its Kapaito who popped up again to do the damage with his third at the hour mark. The former Talanta ace getting his fourth goal of the season.

The man of the moment was far from done and sealed his treble with four minutes left after turning home substitute Henry Juma's cross.

 A dominant display seeing Sharks back to winning ways after falling to Gor Mahia in their previous outing.
