Bandari FC midfielder Anthony Wambani, is hoping to keep the fire burning after a fine start to the season, that saw him feted as the SportPesa Player of the Month for February.

The midfielder scored twice in February, to help his side bag six points and was generally a key player to the side in the month, as the team emerged as early pace setters in the season.

Wambani picked the coveted award on Wednesday 7th March and speaking afterwards, said he wants to continue working hard to keep up the standards he set in February and termed the award the needed inspiration for him.

Award

“I’m glad I got off well this season and my prayer and hope is that I get even better, because I believe there is more I can show. This award is humbling to me as I did not expect it even though I knew I did well in February.

“It’s an inspiration and my focus is more vivid now. I know I can get to the top and realize my dream of emulating Victor Wanyama and making it big in Europe,” he said.
