Timbe: We paid the price for not taking our chances
Tusker FC’s sloppy start to the 2018 Kenyan Premier League (KPL) season continued as the team played to a barren draw, with Thika United at Ruaraka on Saturday 10th March.
The result meant Tusker have gone winless in their last three matches, after previously drawing with Gor Mahia and falling 0–1 to Ulinzi Stars.
At the height of the latest result, Timbe, who is new to the team, rued the missed chances in the match but vowed to work on those ahead of the team’s next game, against his former employers, Sofapaka.
“We were once again wasteful upfront and we paid the price in terms of dropping two points. This is a game that we should have won, but again we have to take lessons from it and work to be better in the next match,” he said.
After six rounds of matches, Tusker is 12th on the log with six points from a win, three draws and a loss.
