Ulinzi Stars head coach Dunstan Nyaudo has lauded his team for picking a second straight win, by beating Kakamega Homeboyz 1 – 0 in the clash at Bukhungu Stadium on Saturday 10th March.

The coach was elated at the impact his substitute players had in the game, with Masita Masuta and Ibrahim Shambi combining to win a corner, that was swung in by Oliver Ruto and Masita rising to head home.

Both Masita and Shambi had been introduced in the second half and Nyaudo was happy at the force they brought to the clash, helping the team secure its third win of the season.

“We went to the game with a strategy to defend well and to hit them in the second half and it worked perfectly, especially with the changes we made. Our subs had a great impact both in terms of getting the goal and defending to ensure we do not concede,” he said.

Nyaudo had also introduced to the game defender Benson Sande as replacement for Mohamed Hassan who got injured.
