Mururi keen to end Homeboyz slump
Kakamega Homeboyz head coach Mike Mururi has admitted it will be hard to lift his charges from their recent slump, after losing twice in a row heading to the seventh round of the 2018 Kenya Premier League season.
The team lost 0–2 to Ulinzi Stars, a week after dropping three points in a 1 – 3 loss to Nzoia Sugar and the coach says they will have to work on their mistakes to get out of the rut they are in.
His emphasis in the season will be on defending set pieces, after picking that as a problematic area for his charges.
“It is very hard to get them up from two losses but, I will try and talk to them and try to correct the mistakes we have made in those games. We will put a lot of emphasis on defending set pieces, for obvious reasons.
“We will be playing away from home also and that is another factor that we need to focus on, as we go through our training and prepare mentally,” he said.
Homeboyz will play AFC Leopards in their next match.
