BREAKING: Onduparaka suspend Mbabazi

14 Mar 2018, 12:49
Onduparaka’s top brass has finally bowed to fans pressure to do away with Coach Livingstone Mbabazi.

This comes a few days after the club lost their longstanding home unbeaten record to SC Villa in a league match.

Mbabazi has been sidelined and will not be part of the club when they play UPDF later in the afternoon.

The management has asked its head Coach Mr Livingstone Mbabazi to step aside with immediate effect from our UPL MD 21 Clash with UPDF until further notice,” the club stated in a release on Wednesday adding that, “the club will make further inquiries into the possible challenges affecting the team and communicate its decisions in due course.”

Former head coach Leo Adraa, who has been acting as technical director, will take over in the interim until the club decides Mbabazi’s future.

The rest of the technical bench remains unchanged with Simeone Masab maintaining his role as trainer and Moses Oloya (goalkeeping coach). Others are Leo Adiga Morris and Musema Ramathan.

Onduparaka is currently sixth on the league table with 29 points, eleven behind SC Villa. They're also out of contention in the Uganda Cup.
