Al Ahly coach resigns after losing to KCCA

Reports from Al Ahly camp indicate that their head coach Hossam Al Badry has resigned following a disappointing 2-0 loss to KCCA in a match day two of the 2018 CAF Champions League group A clash.

A long-range cracker by Saddam Juma and Timothy Awany's stoppage time penalty ensured the Ugandan giants pick a rare win against the record African champions.

A tweet from the club's official handle confirmed that the club's football committee has granted Hossam his wish to resign without any resistance.

"Football committee has accepted Hossam Al-Badry's resignation," the tweet reads.

The Egyptian club drew 0-0 with Esperance in an opening day clash in Cairo.
