USM coach praises Gor Mahia, sets eyes on title

USM Alger head coach Miloud Hamdi has hailed Gor Mahia, after the hard-fought barren draw between the two sides in a Caf Confederations Cup match played on Wednesday 16th May at Moi Kasarani Stadium. 

Gor Mahia played the better part of the second half a man down following Joash Onyango's dismissal nine minutes after the interval, but managed to contain the North Africans. 

In his post match interview, Hamdi hailed Gor Mahia for the spirited fight. He also revealed that his side's goal is to win the title. 

Potential In Group

"You work to win the Championship and not only to go to the finals and that's our aim. Sometimes when you play with ten men you play better and so I have to hail the opponent for the game they us today; it was not an easy one. They are a good side and the 0-0 result today shows their potential in the group,” he said.

USM leads the group with four points, Gor Mahia is second with two points same as third placed Rayon Sports. Yanga is last in the group with one point.
