Gor Mahia head coach Dylan Kerr has heaped praise on midfielder Humphrey Mieno after his good display against USM Alger on Wednesday 16th May at Moi Kasarani Stadium.

Mieno started the game alongside Francis Kahata and Ernest Wendo in the middle of the park but was forced to drop into the unfamiliar central defence position when Joash Onyango was given his matching orders in the 54th minute.

He put in a good shift at the back helping Gor salvage a point from the match and in his post match interview, Kerr heaped praise on the former AFC Leopards and Tusker FC man.

"Mieno did fantastically too in a different role and I like how he took the responsibility after we went a man down,” he said.

Mieno moved to Gor at the start of the year from 2016 Kenyan Premier League champions, Tusker FC.
