WPL: Date set for 2019 season kick off

The 2019 season of the Kenya Women's Premier League will kick off on Sunday 24th February, Football Kenya Federation (FKF) has confirmed. 

Mombasa Olympic and Baringo Starlets were relegated to the second tier Women Division One League while Kibera Girls Soccer Academy and Nyuki Starlets, who came out the top of the Division One League’s Zone A and Zone B respectively, have been promoted to the top-tier. 

The 2019 league will comprise of 16 teams, which will all be entitled to Grants from the FIFA Forward Program.

2019 WPL teams

Vihiga Queens, Thika Queens, Trans Nzoia Falcons, Eldoret Falcons, Gaspo Youth, Oserian Ladies, Makolanders, Kisumu AllStarlets, Wadadia, Mathare United Women, Spedag, Kayole Starlets, Vihiga Leeds, Soccer Queens, Kibera Girls Soccer Academy and Nyuki Starlets.
