Sarri blasts Bayern, confirms January targets & talks Willian, Higuain transfer speculations
Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri has blasted Bayern Munich over their approach on Callum Hudson-Odoi.
The Bundesliga side has made four attempts to sign the young midfielder and Sarri feels that approach has been unprofessional because the 18-year-old is still under contract at Chelsea.
“I think that it’s not professional because they are talking about a player under contract at Chelsea. They didn’t respect our club, I think. I don’t know what to say, I do not know the situation. I am very, very happy with the player because the player is improving. He is improving a lot in the defensive phase and now he needs to improve in some movements without the ball. He is working very well at the moment, so I am happy with the player and I would like to have him in the future,” Sarri told reporters.
The Italian also admitted that he knows nothing concerning Barcelona’s interest on Willian and insisted that the Brazilian remains an important star in the team.
“I didn’t receive anything yesterday. I don’t know you have to ask to the club. I have no ideas you have to contact the club and ask about the market because if you ask me about the market you put me in trouble because I don’t know how to answer. Of course not. As you know, Willian for us is very important. I think he can do better, he can do better because of his potential but he is really very important to us so I think it is impossible to lose him in January,” Sarri said.
Gonzalo Higuain rumours
“As you know very well I am not involved in the market. I spoke with the club and they know my opinion. In my opinion, we need two players. It depends on the club’s decision but I don’t know anything about the market, day by day or minute by minute.
Injury updates on Morata, Loftus-Cheek
“[Ruben] Loftus-Cheek is out at the moment, yesterday Alvaro had a day training with his team-mates so we have to see if he trains today. I hope he will be able to play,” he revealed.
