Hashim Sempala has thanked immediate former Tusker captains Lloyd Wahome and Duncan Ochieng for guiding the club and instilling the spirit of teamwork.
The former BUL FC and Uganda Under-23 midfielder was named the brewers skipper on Wednesday after it was confirmed that Duncan will be part of the technical bench and double up as a player.
Sempala, who was excited at the new appointment, also thanked the management for putting trust in him.
“First and foremost I want to thank the technical bench and the management for entrusting me with leading this great club,” the midfielder said.
He added: “To the outgoing captains, Lloyd and Duncan you have guided us and brought us together as a team through your time. It is not an easy task I will do my best with my fellow captains Peter Nzuki and Madoya Michael to make sure that we lead this club for the better.”
