Arsenal midfielder Emile Smith-Rowe has completed his loan move to Bundesliga side RB Leipzig for the remainder of the season.
Smith-Rowe has impressed under Unai Emery but he had limited playing time making six first-team appearances five of which have been starts. However, the arrival of Denis Suarez meant he will have very limited game time at the Emirates.
Leipzig was keen to add an option to buy in the deal to take Smith Rowe to Germany, however Arsenal rate the academy star too highly to risk losing such a prospect at the end of the season.
Unai Emery on the move
“Emile is a promising young player. This move will get him valuable competitive action which is important as he continues his development.”
