Kirinya Jinja SSS FC will feel hard done by the 1-1 draw registered against Tooro United on Tuesday at the Mighty Arena.
The team’s interim head coach Abbey Bogere Kikomeko, was happy with his boys’ output and believes that they will improve with time.
“Tooro United is a very good team with a lot of experienced players who have played at the top level for several years but my boys were able to match them if not, play better than them,” Kikomeko told the media.
The coach feels that they were better than their opponents but failed to utilise the numerous chances created.
“We came from a goal down and picked a point much as we created enough chances to win the game but failed to convert them. Am impressed with the performance even if we failed to pick the three points but there is some remarkable improvement.
Kikomeko, whose third game is against Onduparaka away feels that the team is gradually improving and will get better with time.
“We shall keep on working hard and I know very soon, everything will be fine. We played a good game against Vipers in my first match but lost. If you looked at today’s game, you will see a lot of improvement. I expect us to keep on that track as we go on.”
Kirinya remained 11th on the log with twenty points.
