Kirya: 'Its one game at a time for us"

Wakiso Giants head coach Ibrahim Kirya has downplayed the chances of winning the Stanbic Uganda Cup despite a stunning victory over Tooro United.

Kirya, however, believes that anything is possible in football but it all needs time to reach that level considering the fact that they are playing against Premier League sides.

The Fufa Big League side progressed to the last eight of the competition that has already seen traditional giants SC Villa and holders KCCA exiting prematurely.

“For us, it’s one game at a time,” said Kirya. “We want to win every next game and see how far we can go."

On the triumph over Tooro United, the former SC Villa, Lweza and URA coach attributed the victory to a successful work plan.

“The team worked hard and were rewarded,” he said. “Our game plan was not to concede much as we thought we would win in normal time."

It was another home game for the Purple Sharks as they remain the only side yet to concede a goal at home in all competitions.
