AC Milan has scored three goals in each of their last three matches and that means they're high on confidence ahead of a trip to Lazio in the Coppa Italia semifinal first leg tonight.
Match preview 🖊
Milan has found some form, winning their last three Serie A matches and scoring three goals in each of those encounters. They've climbed into the top four, and look a good bet to get an important result away from home here and have the confidence of a side that is unbeaten in eight matches across all competitions. Milan's last loss was to Juventus in the Supercoppa Italiana on 16 January. Hosts Lazio hasn't won any of their last three in competitions, but the prospect of reaching a cup final should get their fans up for this one.
With three of the last five head to heads ending in a draw, both sides will be looking to their clinical finishers to make a difference.
Players to watch 👀
Lazio striker Ciro Immobile has gone off the boil in recent weeks but if anyone's going to find the net for I Biancocelesti it's usually the well-travelled 29-year-old. He's scored 11 goals from 21 starts in Serie A this season and is usually the man for the big occasion. AC Milan new boy Krzysztof Piatek has settled into his new surroundings immediately as Gonzalo Higuain's replacement, finding the net on five occasions in four starts in Serie A and is one of the hottest strikers around at the moment.
4 - Before Krzysztof Piatek, the last player to have scored in each of his first four top-flight starts with the Rossoneri was Oliver Bierhoff (September-October 1998). Unstoppable.#MilanEmpoli #SerieA pic.twitter.com/2iMW82Ed4P— OptaPaolo (@OptaPaolo) February 22, 2019
With reliable and pedigreed strikers Immobile & Piatek on show, we expect both sides to score tonight.
