UCL teams news: Manchester City to miss three, Diego Costa suspended for Juventus return leg

Juventus is set to welcome Atletico Madrid for the Champions League round of 16 return leg at Allianz Stadium on Tuesday night. 

The Italian side has a mountain to climb if they are to go through to the next stage after losing 0-2 in the first leg. Juve will need to put three past Atletico and avoid conceding to progress. Juve will be without Alex Sandro as he is suspended having picked up a third yellow of the tournament in Madrid while Blaise Matuidi is one caution away from missing any potential quarter-final first leg. 

Thomas Partey and Diego Costa are both suspended for the return leg while Jose Gimenez, Angel Correa and Antoine Griezmann are all one booking away from a suspension.

Juventus vs Atletico Madrid

Juventus: Sami Khedira, Juan Cuadrado, Douglas Costa (Injured), Alex Sandro (Suspended).

Madrid: Filipe Luis and Lucas Hernandez(Injured), Thomas Partey, Diego Costa (Suspended).

Manchester City vs Schalke

Premier League side Manchester City has an advantage over Schalke after registering a 3-2 win in the first leg. At home, the club needs a 0-0, 1-1 or 2-2 draw to advance to the next stage. The hosts will be without Nicolas Otamendi and Fernandinho as the duo is suspended for the return match. 

Schalke sees key man Daniel Caligiuri join Alessandro Schopf on the sidelines, with Weston McKennie set to start on the right.
