Stars Abroad

Premier League champions Manchester City are reportedly seeking ways to sign Noah Okafor away from FC Basel according to reports.

All Nigeria Soccer reported that Okafor is garnering interest from Manchester City, Borussia Dortmund, and Inter Milan ahead of the opening of the summer transfer window.

FC Basel are believed to have offered the youngster of Nigerian descent a revised deal approximately twelve days ago to divert attention from the teams abroad.

The 18-year-old has broken into FC Basel's starting line-up in recent weeks, starting their last four matches and netting two goals.

Born and raised in Switzerland, he has family ties to Nigeria and is on the radar of the Nigeria Football Federation with a view to a possible invitation to the Dream Team VII and Super Eagles.

Okafor recent contract extension will see him stay at FC Basel until the end of the 2022/23 season.
