HIFK will be playing in the Finnish top flight after securing promotion following their success in the Finnish Divison One where they won the league. Origi joined second-tier side Sandness Ulf in April last year but left after making just 11 appearances he made the switch to Kongsvinger later on in the year.

The Finnish season is set to kick off on Wednesday 4th April, while HIFK will kick off the campaign to SJK on Saturday 6th April. Origi will join fellow Kenyans Amos Ekhalie and Peter Opiyo in the Finnish top flight.
