Kane reveals how Callum Hudson-Odoi has made his impact in England training
England play the Czech Republic and Montenegro in Euro 2020 qualifiers this week as they try to start their campaign on a high. The 18-year-old earned a shock call-up to the senior side for the first time, having only joined up with the U21s for the first time this week.
Kane heaped praise on Hudson-Odoi after his first training session with England, as quoted by football.london, "He's been great. He trained the last couple of days, he's a great guy to talk to and get to know. He wants to take full advantage of his opportunity, he looked like he was enjoying it today. We're glad to have him. Everyone's fighting for places in the England squad.
"Competition is high, the youth ain't afraid to express itself. That's what we want as an England team, to have that flair and flexibility. It's a great sign that we're producing these kinds of players in this country. Callum has had a taste of cup competitions, a little bit in the Premier League. I'm sure he wants to play and get that experience at the highest level. We'll see how his career progresses, if he does that at Chelsea or another team on loan.
"Everyone knows he's a fantastic player... I've got no doubt he has the ability to play at the highest level."
