Germany coach backs Sane to become an important player

After being omitted in the 2018 World Cup squad, Leroy Sane has been tipped to be an extremely important player for the Germany National Team as the teams looks to rebuild following dismal performances.

Sane played a key role in Manchester City winning the 2018 English Premier League title but didn't make the cut for the 2018 World Cup squad in which Germany crashed out of the group stages. The 23-year-old was brought back into the fray for the UEFA Nations League before December and Low thinks he has improved enough this season to be considered the main man in their team.

Speaking in a press conference ahead of Serbia's in a friendly on Wednesday, Low tipped Sane to be a vital cog in the team, "He has put in some great performances, but what is more important to me is that he has taken a big step forward. He has really mastered his jobs on the pitch. He has incredible skills and has brought them to the pitch in the last six months. Leroy still has huge potential and can become an extremely important player for the Germany national team."
