For the third time this season, Tooro United FC will host games at a different venue. The latest development confirms the club returns to Kavumba Recreation Centre temporarily.

Tooro United FC will host Mbarara City FC on Saturday at Kavumba Recreation Centre according to Uganda Premier League manager Paul Kabeikaramu.

” Tooro United FC will host their next home game against Mbarara City FC at Kavumba Recreation Centre.” He confirmed to this website.

It should be noted that barely a month ago, the club owned by businessman Smart Obed shifted from Buhinga Stadium in Fort Portal to Muteesa II stadium, Wankulukuku.

This came after the Kabarole district local government started construction works to have a facelift of the stadium and hence Tooro United FC had to seek for an alternative home ground.

At Wankulukuku, Tooro United FC have played only one fixture, against BUL FC in a game they won 1-0 courtesy of Allan Kayiwa.

The reason behind the abrupt return to Kavumba is because Wankulukuku is currently booked with a trade Expo (CBS Pewosa) going on up-to 23rd April 2019.

However, Tooro United FC is expected to return back to Wankulukuku for their final home game this season against URA FC.

Wasswa Bossa’s charges began the season at Kavumba before moving to Buhinga stadium and then Wankulukuku.

Kavumba is familiar ground for Tooro United FC having used the stadium for the previous seasons as Soana FC before changing the name at the start of the season.

Tooro United FC are currently sixth on the log with 39 points in 26 games.
