Thierry Henry set for new managerial job as New York Red Bull comes calling

Former Monaco boss Thierry Henry is set to be appointed as the new head coach of Major League Soccer club New York Red Bulls

According to Sky Sources, Red Bull have agreed to bring Henry back to New York, with their head of global soccer Oliver Mintzlaff to fly to London to finalise a deal as soon as next week. 

Henry, who was fired by Monaco in January after just three months in charge, spent four years with New York Red Bulls between 2010 and 2014, scoring 52 goals in 135 appearances.

New York have endured a torrid start to the MLS season, winning only one of their opening seven matches and lie tenth in the Eastern Conference.
