Jacques Tuyisenge scored the only goal for Gor Mahia in the stoppage time to hand his side three crucial points as they reclaimed the top spot.
Both sides started the game with a point separating them, K'Ogalo with 46 while Bandari with 45 on the log but having played two more matches. In their last two outings, Gor Mahia lost both matches, a KPL encounter and a Shield Cup match which saw the Green Army eliminated.
Bernard Mwalala's men had a brilliant start to the game as they were awarded free kick in the opening minutes. A lovely cross was delivered and Shakava went for clearance which he miscalculated and went past the keeper before hitting the post. The defender redeemed himself and clear the goal for safety.
Another attack from visitors saw Fred Nkata combine well with Agade before the ball was set for William Wadri who could not beat Shaban Odhoji.
Substitute Dennis Oliech was played through but could not beat Faruk as the shot-stopper denied the veteran with fingertips, forcing a corner. However, the resultant corner yielded to nothing.
Despite being dominant in the most of the game, Bandari finally fell in the stoppage time thanks to Jacques Tuyisenge's stoppage-time free header from a set piece.
After Bandari's four-match winning streak was brought to an end, the club will now put focus on their next tough match against AFC Leopards on Sunday.
Although Bandari’s four-match winning streak was halted, they still remain on course to equal their best ever finish from last season as they prepare for a tough home test against AFC Leopards SC on Sunday.
