Andy Robertson was delighted for equalling the record of most assists by a defender in a Premier League season following Liverpool's 5-0 win over Huddersfield on Friday night.

The Reds run riot as they reclaimed the top spot with Robertson grabbing two assists for the night, making it 11 this season. Incredibly, no defender in Premier League history has ever recorded more assists in a season than Robertson has this year. His 11 assists, drew him level with, ironically, two former Everton defenders, Leighton Baines (in the 2010-11 season) and Andy Hinchliffe (in the 1994-95 season).

Robertson has more assists than David Silva, Mesut Ozil, and Kevin De Bruyne combined. Silva (six), Ozil (two) and De Bruyne (two) have 10 assists between them, one fewer than the Liverpool left-back.

There are only three players in the top flight who have more assists than Robertson. Eden Hazard has 13 and Christian Eriksen and Ryan Fraser have both recorded 12.
