Arsenal midfielder Denis Suarez has revealed that he will not feature for the club again this season due to a recurrent injury.
In a post on his Twitter account, Suarez thanked the club's fans for their support, an indication that he might not wear the Arsenal jersey again.
“After various medical consultations, the conclusion has been earning £55,000 wages per week and a £2.5m signing-on fee. reached that I cannot keep on pushing it and I have started a period of treatment that cannot be done alongside competitive football,” he noted.
"I am sorry for all the effort and sacrifice made to come to Arsenal hasn't come to fruition as hoped and you can't even imagine how angry I am about it, but health comes first,"
The 25-year-old cost the club £3.2million, and has been earning £55,000 wages per week and £2.5m signing-on fee.
