Gor Mahia head coach Hassan Oktay was delighted after winning the Kenyan Premier League title in his first season in charge.
K'Ogalo retained the title on Wednesday for the third consecutive time following a 1-1 draw with Vihiga United in a match staged at Kenyatta Stadium, Machakos. Oktay who was named the Coach of The Month of April says winning the league narrows down to emerging victorious when playing big matches.
"Yes, it was in Asia and now it is Africa. It is good to win the title because the league is all about winning big matches," he said when asked about securing the title in his first season.
"We played a lot of games, the Champions League qualifiers, Confederation and at the same time, you want to concentrate on the league," he added.
Gor, who will now retain the title for good will be presented with the KPL trophy at the same venue on Saturday 25th when they take on Posta Rangers.
