Sensational Zanaco Assistant coach Dabid Chilufya has revealed that they are working on building a team that will compete well in the CAF Confederation Cup.
The bankers finished second in Stream A and automatically qualified for the 2019/2020 CAF Confederation Cup. Zanaco had a porous defense and Chilufya hinted on the team acquiring a number of players as they look to reinforce their squad ahead of their Continental campaign.
"We are focusing on ABSA Cup coming on the 15th. We have qualified for CAF and we trying to patch where we did not do well in the transitional league. I believe the Executive is working hard to get the players we have recommended. At the end of the day we want to come up with a good team that can compete well in the CAF Confederation Cup," He said.
"We are very ready and we have not rested too much. I believe the team is still having match fitness," he added.
The bankers have an ABSA Cup (Barclays Cup) semifinal to negotiate and a third and fourth league playoff to get through before starting their Continental quest.
