Ashanti Gold will face rivals Asante Kotoko in the semifinals fo the Ghana Special Competition after the two sides won their respective knockout matches on Sunday. 

AshGold beat Medeama FC 1-0 in a top-of-the-table clash, while goals from Naby Laye Keita and Kwame Boahene took Kotoko above Berekum Arsenal with a 2-1 victory. 

In Obuasi, Shafiu Mumuni's lone goal was enough to see AshGold to the next round, in a match played at the at Len Clay stadium.



The other semi-finals clash of Tier II will be between Unistar Academy and Nzema Kotoko.
